Every year in April, the New Zealand, Australian, Turkish and British public make a collective promise. To remember those who served at Gallipoli, Turkey, a deadly WWI campaign which ran from 25 April 1915 for eight months.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. We will remember them.”
Record your personal pledge “I will Remember Them”.
Your recording will join thousands of others making the same individual promise “I will remember them”. Each recording will be assigned to an individual soldier who was killed or wounded in WW1, a soundscape of voices remembering the casualties of war.
This recording will be updated throughout the project as more voices are collected. It plays at St David’s, The Soldiers’ Memorial Church.
